Good ideas are losing value between the decision and the result, through timing, size or holding on too long. The ideas themselves are not the problem.

We take two new clients before 31 December 2026.

The scorecard is the application. We read every one ourselves. If your answers show that this work fits your situation and the way you would like to work, we invite you to a briefing about one of the two places.

The way you invest took you years to build, and it is the most valuable thing your firm owns. Turning it into rules deserves our full focus and care. We can give that to two firms at a time, so two is the number.

Applications are read in the order they arrive. If both places have gone, we will tell you so, and your analysis is yours to keep either way.

How much of your investment skill are you actually keeping?

That is the question the scorecard answers. Your ideas are good. The scorecard looks at what happens to them afterwards, in the six places where skilled investors lose the value of being right.

Calm through shocks

Do you go into a sell-off or a headline shock with the decisions already made?

Confidence in your edge

Can you show, with numbers you trust, that your returns come from skill?

Getting paid for being right

Do good ideas turn into returns, or get lost in timing and size?

Independence from key people

Does the portfolio run while you are away, and does know-how stay when people leave?

Trust across generations

Can investors, boards and the next generation read how decisions are made?

Room to grow

Do you know how much capital your approach can take?

On screen, straight away

Your opportunity: the one area where a change would give you the most right now, your score in all six areas, and how to make that change.

By email, as a PDF

Your full analysis within one business day: what your answers mean, what you can do yourself, and a month-by-month plan to 31 December.

You've probably looked for a fix already.

And every quant you spoke to offered one of three things.

A black box

A generic model, licensed to you and to your competitors. Your LPs ask what's inside it and you can't tell them. It has nothing to do with how you pick stocks.

A $400K quant hire

The math never closes at your size. And when he leaves in 18 months, the IP leaves with him.

An academic backtest

Beautiful on paper, untradeable in mid-caps. No real costs, no capacity number, nothing your trader could run.

There is a fourth option: your own edge, written down.

We work with you to turn the way you already invest into rules, test them honestly, and hand over a strategy you own and run on your own infrastructure with the team you already have. Nothing to license and nobody to hire. You stay the founder.

What happens when you start.

  1. Answer 24 questions

About 6 minutes. No right answers, nothing to look up and nothing about your positions. The questions are about your own experience of running the portfolio.

  2. See your result

Your opportunity and your score in all six areas appear on screen as soon as you finish. Your full analysis follows by email within one business day.

  3. We read your answers

If the work fits your situation, we invite you to a briefing about one of the two client places. If it doesn't, you still have the analysis.

John Panayotaras

Hello, I'm John Panayotaras.

I wrote this scorecard, and I'm the person who will read your answers.

I've worked in financial research since 2020. For two years I was an analyst and introducing partner, and I led the development team whose job was to take a discretionary method and turn it into a rules-based model. We used AI in that work, in the form of machine-learning models, alongside the rules themselves.

That is where I learned how this work goes. The hard part is rarely the code. It is sitting with an experienced investor and patiently putting into words what he already does well, without losing what makes it his. I have a lot of respect for that kind of skill, and the scorecard is built to find it, not to question it.

However your result comes out, I hope it gives you something you can use. And if we do end up working together, you keep the strategy and its IP, and INSIGHT never has access to your capital or your accounts.
